Welcome to our very first episode of BACK TO THE FRAME RATE. Nathan, Eli, and Sam introduce themselves and give you a very brief bit of their background working in the film industry and how they decided to launch this podcast. They follow up with a discussion about the upcoming slate of films scheduled for release in 2023, with each tossing out their most anticipated selections. After they discuss the recently announced Oscar Nominations. Are the Oscars the measuring stick for quality cinema? Is Michelle Yeoh a lock to win Best Actress this year? Why hasn't Sam watched Everything Everywhere All At Once Yet? Nathan thought Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Picture in 1999 (maybe this was just a case of the Mandela Effect). Should we have our podcasting license immediatly revoked? You the listener can decide.
